I agree. At the end of the day, it comes down to how you use the device. But I have to say, 7 Pro's display kinda ruined other phones for me. I hope higher refresh rates and properly calibrated displays become the norm in the near future.

Honestly, apart from the display, nothing in the phone screams at me to buy it.
I was on the verge of buying it because of the stupid tech itch, but then my brain made it clear that OP6 was a good enough device for next 2 years.

Well, that's applicable to almost everyone in here I guess. My OnePlus 5T is still working admiribly. Heck, even the OnePlus One with Lineage OS 16 + microG gives me a more than passable experience.

    True.
Anyways, so you think the price justifies the hardware on the OP7P?

As I said above, "it comes down to how you use the device". With the 7 Pro you get more for more. Simply put, there isn't a single device that provides this level of hardware at a similar price range here in Portugal. So, in a sense, the OnePlus 7 Pro is "cheap".

I'd argue that the two devices (7 & 7 Pro) cater for different customers.

    Giggity.

Looking at replacing the OP5 with something newer in a month or two.
I think the 7 is the most VFM phone OnePlus has made since the 3T

Waiting to see what the Redmi K20 and K20 Pro are like.

I spent hours scrolling 7 Pro and 6T, and while the 90hz thingy is good to have, it’s hardly a “you need it” feature, on the other hand 7’s under the hood upgrades and the asking price is tempting as hell.
And apps and games too.. you know that would be pointless without it right?

I believe one thing leafs to the other. With more devices supporting higher refresh rates, Android will have more reasons to natively support it, as well as game engines.

But most of the android app and game developers are lazy as fcuk, even the bigger ones, that’s the reason why google has been trying to force ‘em and companies like Razor had to “collaborate”with game companies.

Just had to apologise to someone at work, we did a major production golive over the weekend with not much sleep and it turns out she may have been a bit stressed by it all.

I was shitposting on here at the same time and I may have carried over the forum style into work chat, 0200 probably not the best time to gently tweak her about a minor error. An hour later I got a massive wall of text, damn my religious objection to the use of smileys landing me in it again.
