I also don't know why they want to have RCC in Settings.
Could have been part of the Community App

I'll just add my two cents, of how I think it is on the surface. Ofc, I don't know the EU market works but my understanding is this,

Word of mouth marketing is really strong here in India and if you can win the masses with lower prices and better specs, the most difficult part is over. It's a matter of time before the customers turn into hardcore influencers.
I have literally changed my sister's mind when she was out there looking for a new phone.
They work with low margins but sell more. The main goal here is to capture the market and win the trust even if that means making less money per device.

On the contrary, in EU/NA OnePlus is more focused on increasing brand awareness and making more money, for every unit sold. They do so majorly with the help of carrier collaboration (something which is non-existent in India)

I think, this will change once the brand has a considerable footprint and has captured most of the market in the region.

This is just my understanding, I might be wrong feel free to correct me.

I think that certainly helped them, howev what I think made a bigger difference here in BE is when they started popping up in well established tech stores. Like coolblue and Fnac.

@Starcommander are you able to install OOS from a different region to avoid RCC bloat etc? I'm not sure how it knows you're from India, whether you have a different model number than EU and NA.
