As for case quality, I can't say much other than I specifically avoided buying an official case due previous issues they had with their tempered glass screen protector for their opx, so i wouldn't be at all surprised if the quality sucked on some of their other accessories. (If you didn't hear about that mess, the official screen protector for the opx didn't fit the damn phone.)

The case in the photos you posted is blue, the original one is black. Have you bought it in the OP store?

I am thinking of buying an OP3 along with an original OnePlus flip case and a Spigen rugged case. what are you thoughts on these cases? should i avoid one or both? are they high quality products?

I have attached further pictures with a different lighting. These pictures have been taken actually one day after the first pictures I have posted.

Yet OnePlus claims it is normal wear and tear.

So, final answer from support is: This is normal wear and tear.

They never had good cases. There always were problems somewhere. The flip cases for OPO had cracking edges.
