    sagarmgandhi , via OnePlus 6 , Feb 25, 2020 :
    Hello,

So i am on latest Oxygen OS update i.e. 10.3.1 and i installed it via OTA update.
My device is fully stock and no rooting activity or similar stuff was ever performed.
I usually at times Wipe Cache partition by going in recovery and using "Wipe Cache", but after the latest update i am unable to decrypt the device as it fails to accept the pattern password and keeps throwing "wrong password" error

I have not even changed my pattern as well but i am really not sure why does it fail there.

Any of you guys faced this similar issue ?
it was all working fine earlier

( PS : I have also searched community and didn't find exact issue so created a new thread. )

    Thanks
    SG

Factory reset? I know that'd result in a loss of all of your data, I don't know if you have a way of backing it up. I take it you cannot get into your phone at all?

Have you tried any of the unbricking tools?

facing the exact same issue. I reached out to oneplus support, they said to reach out to google Android support as they can provide decrypt password.

Unable to reach them. Did research on internet, unable to find solution.

If you forget your password, you're pretty much screwed. In order to reset it, you need to reset your entire phone.

You might have better luck at a response if you post this in 7T Pro forum since others may have the same problem.

Remove all Screen Locks, Pin, Fingerprint and Facelocks etc

Remove all Smart Locks as well.

Reboot the phone, once rebooted, try going into recovery.

See if it will allow without locks being set.

You can setup your screen locks again once you are done.

In Settings, Security & Lock Screen, Smart Locks. If you have any setup, remove them.
