    it's cheaper than OPO... i bought mine for RMB1,800. Thats just under USD300. You get what you pay for. and it has been released for quite a while now, almost half a year.

    Phone is excellent. iPhone-ish build quality (unibody design), fast, the native MIUI is decent. Phone calls sound clear. Sorry i dont have a full review but I am very happy with the phone.

    I updated my Xperia Z tons of times (4.2.2 update, 4.3, CM11, CM10.2, and offical 4.4.2) and my performance is still fluid with 2GB's of RAM.

    I'd like to see a side by side comparison of the Xiaomi phones beside a OPO. Anybody have a good review of Mi3?

    it is possible to flash CM11S onto the Mi3 if you really want. That way you can retain customization-ability. I dont know how to do it but I have heard friends who can do it for other phones.

    Oppo, gionee and now xiaomi are really making their presence felt here in India
    I like their aggressive pricing and the specs they offer
    But main problem right now would be after sales part... Lots of people having doubts about these phones for this only
    Also the "Chinese phone" moniker here in India (no offence china) makes it less desirable
    Many people aren't even aware of OPO but once they are told they all want it!
    Until they hear about invite and the wait.
    We Indians really aren't that patient...

    {Chinese phone is generally used as a euphemism for a bad phone which will get broken/spoilt easily and hence not to be trusted(yes I am aware how wrong that can be and that pretty much all products even awesome ones are built there)}

    OPO fans in india can now opt for xiaomi Mi3 priced at Rs. 14,999 (approx $250) . The phone will be available starting July 15th
