Xiaomi to launch OP7 Pro killer in Europe

So there is finally confirmation that the Redmi K20 Pro will be rebadged as the Mi 9T Pro in Europe. This is the phone OnePlus should have made, but launched the OP7 pro with the ridiculously awful curved-edge screen and all the distortion, fake touches and fragility that brings.

Xiaomi has started teasing the device in India, dubbing it the "world's fastest phone" on the basis of its AnTuTu score of 388,803! Here's a reasonable comparison by Mr Who's The Boss

Both the 7pro and the K20/9T pro are a bit too thick for my liking at 8.8mm, but this is a factor of the pop-up selfie camera. Once the devices with an under-display camera that Xiaomi has teased come out next year we can move back to a slimmer phone.

Great phone. I like the included jack and the price. Personally, i dont like the curved screen neither (of the 7pro).
I'm still going for the op7 pro as i think it is a bit more complete phone (as in, featureset is more "finished") . The pro's MrWhosTheBoss explained made me agree a bit more and lean towards OP's device. Both great

The K20 Pro is about half the price of the OP7 Pro. That's a ridiculous gap and proof OnePlus has lost its way.

I've never used it so need to be convinced. OOS is indeed awesome.

I have used several Xiaomi Smartphones for Android testing and I have never liked the design and feel of the smartphones. I hope Xiaomi will continue to improve but right now the OnePlus 7 Pro has a better feel and operating system.

For whatever reason Xiaomi is advertising the Mi 9T all over its twitter account, so I'm not 100% certain they are going to launch the Redmi K20 Pro in Europe as the Mi 9T Pro.

For this reason I am tempted to buy a chinese import. I'll be using EE, so there are no worries that it might lack Band 20 for LTE.

Can someone please advise me of the most reliable sites to use for this, and whether any particular version is required? It is essential the device has wifi calling as I work on the 24th floor of an office tower. I had to dump my OP3 for a Samsung when we moved here until the OP5 came out because of this issue.

Xiaomi definitely gets their cameras and camera software right. My Mi MIX 3 takes way better pictures than my OnePlus 7 Pro. MIUI definitely isn't great but using Nova Launcher over it is a massive improvement.

I would never have bought a OnePlus 7 Pro if the Mi MIX 3 had the ability to set the roaming options for each SIM individually, like the OnePlus 7 Pro does. I need the ability to allow one SIM to roam while not allowing the other to roam.

The MiUi is a deal breaker for me.
They should at least offer a Google stock version. It is a mystery how so many other manufacturers have not recognized that one of the important reasons people choose OP is for the clean software.

It's no mystery, there are many more people who prefer a feature packed OS over stock android.

Yeah it is a bit silly. :D

I used a MiMax 2 for about a year though and only replaced it because the screen broke (EDIT - I dropped phone face down with slimmest of cases), and then the replacement one. It was a bit cumbersome but that was also the old style screen ratio - proper phablet style! They have slimmed down now.

EDIT - I used it as a daily driver for a year, constantly. Some of the looks you get are funny.

It's so damn cheap you can buy one and enjoy it on certain days you know you need SERIOUS juice, pick and choose. 5800mah battery with SnapDragon 600 series is no joke.

    Done crying?

    - OP7 Pro base variant starts at 128GB unlike 64GB on K20 pro
    - has UFS 3.0 storage
    - Better cameras with OIS on two sensors
    - better stereo speakers
    - QHD+ screen
    - 90Hz, better looking and costlier curved display
    - better charging
    - better OxygenOS
    - no Ads whatsoever in UI [e]1f602[/e]
    - better and faster pop up camera
    - much faster in display fingerprint scanner
    - much better Vibration motor with superior haptics
    - 2 year of major Android updates and 3 year of security patches
    - USB 3.1

    What K20 Pro has -

    A 3.5 mm headphone jack

    K20 Pro 6+128 variant = $420, OP7 Pro 6+128 variant = $669

Definitely worth the premium and also not double the price as you falsely claimed. If anything, OP7 and K20 pro are a comparison.

    Dude, what ya smokin' ?
