Yellow spot and the support teams respond

    Hey guys,
    I have a yellow spot on the screen of my OPO.
    It appears after a couple of minutes of SOT. The spot appeared to the first time at the mid of July. My phone is 1 year old.
    I contacted the support team with a couple of pictures and I got really pissed off after reading the answer. I mean, I really loved my OPO and looked forward to buy an OP2, but the customer service is, in my opinion, just a guy which says you in other words, that they don't give a f*** about you.

    Thank you for reaching out.

    Because of strict quality control standards, variation between different devices is very limited. All OnePlus One displays have a warm effect, but this is only visible in certain circumstances and does not affect daily use. Our screens are lit from the bottom instead of from underneath, and to minimize bezels we place the light sources very close to the edge of the screen. To prevent excessive light leakage, the bottom edge is designed to be slightly opaque, which is why it appears warmer from certain angles.

    It's the standard yellow screen (a common OPO issue) response. Their engineer would have looked up your problem in their knowledge base and this would probably have popped up as it had the word "yellow" in it.
    Give them a break and just tell them this is different from the general yellow screen issue.

    Like the mail said, it won't affect the daily usage. Now you must stop complaining, these guys knows everything. If they say it won't affect, then it will nto affect

    That is hardware issue but I guess your warranty is over? Looks like you have to live with that unless you wanna have it changed or change it by yourself.

    My suggestion is to email them back that you're not satisfied with their answer and ask for someone else. Keep doing this until you get a proper answer...

    So Bikas, Do you like to see a spot on the screen while you watch a movie? I agree with Palazzo and that could have been the cause OP responded like that.

    That's not the usual yellow screen. Looks more like an actual defect.
    Since your phone is set to German language, I presume you are German and ordered the phone in said country, that means you should have gotten a 2 year warranty on your OPO, as Europe has that by legal reasons.
