I hate this feature, i want the freedom to use my phone as much as i want, when i want. I have the discipline to control myself and refrain of using it when i shouldn't.
I happen to be an adult, i dont like anyone bossing me and telling me what to do. This function is an insult to my maturity and shouldn't be pre-installed and activated by default. It's should be easier to permanently remove it, or at least close it.

What are you talking about? It's on MY phone, I didn't put it there and I cannot remove it. I do not wish to use it, but I'm not given that choice. GET REAL.

That's exactly what part of this thread is about, plus I've posted in feedback to provide such an option.

To be more clear... Zen Mode itself doesn't allow notifications... BUT Zen itself has many notifications stating I've been using my phone too long. And I really don't. For instance, Maps during my hour+ daily commute and my phone alarm app will trigger Zen so when I wake or get to work, Zen wants me to 'zen' out.

Thank you for persevering on how to remove this. I don't need 'Zen' as a nanny. I get that most people are addicted to their phone for the social media, etc. and may like this. I use my phone about an hour a day (per use statics)... unless I travel and watch a show or 2 on my flight.

Yes, but can you 'disable' it when you access it? This is near bloat ware and having an easy toggle to turn it off would be easy. I don't get their agenda of forcing it on everyone? 99% of phone I just love to death but not Zen Mode!

Yes, had I known about Zen Mode before purchasing I probably would have imported the K20 Pro... but that's been rumored to have even more junk/bloatware notifications. Then there's the ASUS ZenFone 6 with an LCD screen. But watch out it's title has 'Zen' in its' phone.

Since when is our choice taken away... it seems it is now!

I find it amazing that so many love this app because they LACK the self-discipline to simple put their phone down.

I agree... I'd really like to 'disable' it... and make my choice of NOT using it.
It appears so many are truly addicted to their phones (just as I've read in the news) and some people don't even understand or know how to operate their phone to realize this "Zen" is 'forced' upon us!

What phone can you buy today that does not come with bundled software, even the fairly clean system google deliver on pixel have forced gapps installed. I dont get you why you see the zen app so intrusive, you can disable its nagging and never see it again if you don't need/like it.

I do like the idea of seperating software from hardware, I buy a new phone and then it is up to me to choose the system and what apps I want to install on it.. but I doubt that will ever happen except in very small scale.

Some of us are relying on to do list app in our phone. I guess there should be an option to whitelist at least 1 app (or to replace camera app).

You can easily turn the notifications off. Why would you leave notifications on for something you don't need notifications from?

How is it forced upon us when, when the app is hidden away and it you can easily turn off notifications it gives. If you don't like it, you can turn off notifications and never see anything from it again.
