Zen Mode pushed without asking.

    Hello,

    1) You cannot force stop Zen Mode.
    2) You cannot Disable Zen mode.
    3) You cannot control/block data usage of Zen Mode.

A new app facility, at the cost of our private data.

I dont want you to create one more app to steal my privacy, or spy on.

You really know what I am saying right?

Is anyone aware of this? Or just blindly happy with zen mode?

    see you

One plus is loosing its privacy concept, in attempt to selling their customers' data. I guess Oxygen OS has just become a decoration now.

How exactly is Zen mode stealing your privacy?

If your worried about privacy, then stop using things like a cell phone and a computer. Stop using the internet.

If you don't like OnePlus adding new features, then for a brand that doesn't add new features.

Correction, you didn't ask for it not we. I don't use it.

How exactly is it stealing data and where's the proof that it is?

If your worried about your data, then why are you using a smart phone in the first place. Better yet, why are you using the internet.

If you don't like what OnePlus is offering, then use another brand.

Good luck making them regret it... No one here is from OnePlus either..

I love it when people make posts about things that they clearly have no idea what they're talking about

Bro, you will see here, when there is a word about privacy and suspicious app, you will find a swarm of paid bot employees (google and phone brand, and below average commons who are expecting employment) hating and shaming you, so that other people don't get enlightened about it in fear of shaming attacks on themselves.
You can see how these people are attacking directly. Lets note down these names and create a list somewhere for future reference.

To all the atackers- Did you read that the app is not force stoppable, cannot be disabled and cannot be stopped from data usage? This says it all.
You guys actually know that Zen Mode is an app, which has app info setting.
You were supposed to talk about that first. Isn't it?

I find it hilarious that someone who is willingly buying a smartphone from an OS maker who makes their money through data collection is complaining about an app possibly doing that. Especially without providing any real evidence.

The OS does that for sure, but OnePlus was launched to fight against that data collection. Read the history if you can. Read my message again, and try it by yourself. Show me that you are able to disable it through app info, show me that you were able to force stop it, show me that you were able to block its data usage. Show me through screen shots, that Zen Mode has accessed 0kb of data.

If you had even paid attention to the data usage screen for the Zen Mode app, you'd notice that the actual app showing data usage is OPSkin, which includes a ton of other apps. You're quoting incorrect statistics.

So us asking for proof is us attacking them and shaming them.... Right and we're also paid bot employees.

Zen mode is a a system app. Try disabling any other system app like screen recorder.

I find it hilarious that people are complaining about data collection while using a OS created by Google. A lot of apps collect data, so if you are worried about an app collecting data then get off the internet.
