    Hey guys.

    Had a remote session setup for OnePlus to work out the optimized charging issues for my OnePlus 9 pro. I just seemed a bit sketched by a remote session and being asked to disable windows virus protection and windows firewalls so I ended the session. Has anyone been through remote support with OnePlus?is this normal.

    Also sorry mods if this is the wrong spot. Was not sure where to post it.

    What issue are you exactly facing?
    Did you disable optimized charging as suggested here?

    They are going to do some type of flash update they had me download. Yes they are guys from oneplus support through my support ticket I created a few weeks back.

    The phone doesnt take long to charge. Super fast charging. The problem is it does not stop at 80 and resume the rest before I wake up. So the issue is it seems like the optimized charging is just not kicking in. Have tried multiple steps with support and it seems like they think flashing it with something is going to solve the issue.

    Oh so the issue is that the charging doesn't stop at 80%?
    There is also a new update available for the 9 pro.
    You can try it out too Oxygen OS 11.2.9. 9 I guess

    Correct the issue is it does not stop at 80%. I have had the phone since late July and have a pretty regular routine at night for when I put my phone on the charger and take it off. Nothing seems to have solved the issue.

    Yea I did get that new update but didnt seem to solve anything.

    Its not an end of the world issue at all by any means. Just odd why its not working.

    Well remote access seems to be the only way now?
    Did you try a factory reset?

    I did try a factory reset.

    Yea remote isnt what I was concerned about. It was the disabling virus software and firewalls that made me stop and wonder if that was normal practice or not.

    Yes, it is a normal practice for a remote session with remote control via external access

    They have to use some ports for the connection. And it could be, that a firewall or a virus software are blocking those connections:)
